Zechovoy, Tel Aviv, Israel produced the medal. The first medals were presented on January 24, 2011, to the families of the three firefighters who died in the Carmel forest
fires on December 18, 2010.
This decoration is now obsolete and has been replaced by the ribbon of the
Decoration of Heroism (Itur
Hagvura).
