Commemorative Medals dedicated to the Lehi underground organization

Lehi (abbreviation of the hebrew name Lohamei Herut Israel), the Fighters for the Freedom of Israel, was a Zionist paramilitary militant organization founded by Avraham ("Yair") Stern in the Land of Israel when it was still called Mandatory Palestine. The British considered the organization as terrorists and Lehi was in the British press often known as the Stern Gang. On February 12,1942, the British located Yair's hideout and he was killed.
