The sources of the data of the medals:
The IGCMC catalogues, the SHEQEL website and the data published by the
Israel Coins and Medals Corporation.
I did my best to copy the data of year, metal and dimensions of the medals as well as possible. This is a picture gallery, not an official catalogue.
For exact data about the number of medals issued, the background of the medals, and data of the medals of silver, gold, platinum etc, one is advised to visit the
Israel Coins and Medals Corporation.
This company is also the official retailer of the medals.
The pictures of the medals are taken from a variety of sources such as online auction websites. If anybody claims to have copyright of a picture shown here, I will remove the picture or add credit to the owner of the picture.

Tombac, or tombak, is an alloy with high copper content and 5-20%
zinc content.
Bronze is an alloy consisting primarily of
copper, commonly with about 12-12.5% tin
and often with the addition of other metals.
The higher copper content gives tombac a reddish hue, similar to bronze, but with a distinctive reddish-brown color.
In practice, at websites such as ebay, tombac medals are
often described as bronze. The IGCMC catalogues describe for any medal the alloy
used, so where possible we distinguish between bronze and tombac.
