Award ceremonies for service during the Second Lebanon War

During a ceremony held in Tel Aviv, on September, 2, 2007 the Minister of Defense, Ehud Barak and the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Gabi Ashkenazy presented the new campaign ribbon for the Second Lebanon War.
They also awarded decorations: the Medal of Courage, the second most noteworthy decoration, to 6 soldiers or their families, and Medal of Distinguished Service, to 12 soldiers or their families.

At December 24, the campaign ribbon for Second Lebanon War was awarded to captain Nitay Okshi, together with the ribbon for a citation of Territorial Commander. The citation was for acts of courage displayed on the night of July 21, 2007, when captain Okashi barehanded overcame an armed terrorist trying to enter Israel from the Gaza area. Ceremony for firefighters, Magen David Adom (First Aid) workers and Jewish National Fund forest keepers
