This medal was produced by Pal-Bell Co., a company founded in 1939 by Maurice Ascalon (formerly known as Moshe
Klein). Till 1956 Pal-Bell produced decorative and functional metalwork and Judaica. Maurice Ascalon was also Pal-Bell's chief designer.
The back of the medal shows the Pal-Bell logo. Dimensions are: 42mm high and 38mm accross;3mm in thickness.
The medal is a very good quality casting. The Hebrew inscription translates to: IN BLOOD AND FIRE/ISRAEL AROSE.
