On the occasion of Memorial day 2023, the Israel Ministry of Defense
presented a gift to bereaved families, in the form of a decorative medal.
Beneath the emblem of the state of Israel is a hanging medal on blue white
ribbon.
The front of the medal depicts a saluting soldier and the
Israeli flag. The Hebrew text says: Memorial Day for Israel's fallen.
The back of the medal depicts the biblical candelabrum (Menorah) and the
text: 75 years to the State of Israel. This all is surrounded by the
lyrics of Hatikva, the Israeli anthem.
The item is designed and
produced by the Milman company in Tel Aviv.
