We received pictures of a badge commemorating the Warsaw Getto Uprising of 1943. The front shows a Hebrew text, meaning: In eternal memory of the Warsaw uprising - 1943. The back shows the name of the manufacturer: Poellath Schrobenhausen, a company in Bavaria, Germany.
It is remarkable that this pin was ordered at a
German firm that some years earlier produced pins of a totally
different character for the German army.
Beneath the pin is written in Hebrew: Pesah night, 1947.
The Warsaw ghetto uprising final battle started at
the eve of the Jewish holiday Pesach.
So this pin was made before the independence of Israel.
