The UNEF Medal was
presented today to the members of the Norwegian Medical Unit of the
United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) during a parade in front of
the UNEF Hospital. Presentations were made to some 110 doctors and
medical assistants of the unit. During the ceremony, Sgt. Sterstein
is receiving his medal from Lt. Col. A. Jensen, Commanding Officer
of the Unit and Senior Medical Staff Officer, UNEF HQ.

United Nations
Emergency Force (UNEF) medals were presented today to the officers
and men of the Seventh Brazilian Contingent by the Commander of the
Force, Lieutenant General P.S. Gyani. The troops are scheduled to
depart on a Brazilian troopship for Brazil, after completing a tour
of duty with UNEF. Gen. Gyani during the ceremony as he pinned the
UNEF medal on Lt. Col. Sherman.

Battalion Headquarters at El Arish in the Sinai today. The medals

United Nations medals
were awarded today to 450 Swedish soldiers of the United Nations
Emergency Force (UNEF) at a ceremonial parade commanded by Colonel
S.G. Fornwall of the Swedish Battalion in Gaza. Major-General Syseno
Sarmento, Commander of UNEF, presented the medals on behalf of the
Secretary-General.
12 August 1965
At a farewell parade
today, UNEF medals were presented to the fifth Danish-Norwegian
Battalion (DANOR) of the United Nations Emergency Force, shortly
before the departure of the Battalion on rotation. The parade,
consisting of some 500 Danish and Norwegian troops, was attended by
Lt. General E.L.M. Burns, UNEF Commander. Accompanied by the
Commanding Officer of the Danor Battalion, Lt. Colonel P.E.
