Blessing Coins (tokens)

"Blessing Coins" (also called "Shmirot") are a custom among some Jewish communities where a rabbi, or "Tzaddik," gives a blessed coin to a follower as an amulet for protection or success in life events like illness, travel, or financial matters. These coins are believed to hold extraordinary power. This practice of receiving coins from a holy person is considered a "segulah" - a means of spiritual protection or a remedy for a problem. For a coin to be considered a blessing coin, the blessing should be stated on the coin.
