Commemorative Medals showing Chaim Herzog

President of Israel in the years 1983-1993

Silver medal - President Chaim Herzog. From the Presidents of Israel series. Weight: 26 grams

The version "Pointed jaw" Mintage 80, Rare

This version of the series is the first and rarer version, because in this issue the figure of President Haim Herzog was designed as a young figure with smooth contours and a pointed chin.
After the family was dissatisfied with this first version of the medal, the design was adapted.
To avoid unpleasantness, the government company did not publish the change of versions. The small amount that was already sold, is probably mostly in the hands of subscribers.

Third Medal in the "Four Israel Presidents" Series, issued in Israel's 50th Anniversary Year.

After the family was dissatisfied with first version of the medal, the medals were shelved and reissued with a rounded jaw.
