"Blessing Coins" (also called "Shmirot") are a custom among some Jewish communities where a rabbi, or "Tzaddik," gives a blessed coin to a follower as an amulet for protection or success in life events like illness, travel, or financial matters. These coins are believed to hold extraordinary power. This practice of receiving coins from a holy person is considered a "segulah" - a means of spiritual protection or a remedy for a problem. Some of the coins presented here are issued by Jewish communities in the USA that are also present in Israel. For a coin to be considered a blessing coin, the blessing should be stated on the coin.
