President’s Award for Volunteerism

President’s Award for Volunteerism The 'Presidential Award for Volunteerism' is the most prestigious award in the field of volunteering, given each year by the President of the State of Israel to 12 winners.

The aim of this award is to recognize the work done by individuals and groups in all sectors of the populations and to encourage the spirit of voluntarism in Israel's society. Hundreds of recommendations of suitable volunteers arrive at the President's Residence to be examined by a special judging committee.

Twelve winners, whose volunteering effort has been the most prominent that year, are selected.

The winners are presented with the Presidential award in a ceremony held each year in the garden of the President's Residence, with many participants being present.
